Major Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.

The assaults succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
